hose/extension tubes if this assists storage. Any water remaining in the steam generator can be left
for 1 - 3 months. However, if the storage area can go below freezing the product MUST be drained
when the water is completely cold, as serious damage to the product and/or a safety hazard could
result.
5. MAINTENANCE
5.1 BOILER MAINTENANCE
In order to keep the machine in good conditions, we suggest you the followings:
1) The machine must be vertically positioned on a flat surface and disconnected from electric net.
Make also sure the machine is cold and not under pressure. The frequency of the draining depends
on the hardness of water, anyway it should be done every 1-3 months. Remove the protection cap
(Fig. 12a) then lever off the moulded drain cover on the underside of the steam generator to reveal
the 20 nut and drain all the water out (12). After draining replace the drain nut and moulded cap.
CAUTION: before switching on the machine, fill the cold water tank, then connect the electric
cable and only after that you can switch on the cleaner.
2) More extensive maintenance should be carried out every 3-6 months when the machine is used for
domestic purposes, hardness of water should not exceed 18 french degrees. An intensive use of the
machine and a water hardness higher than 18 french degrees requires a more frequent maintenance.
After making sure that the machine is cold and not under pressure, vertically positioned on a flat
surface and disconnected from electric net.
a) Drain clean water tank.
b) Remove the black draingage nut cover (Fig. 12a)
c) Unscrew the nut under the machine using the wrench (10, Fig. 2).
d) Drain boiler by levering off the moulded drain cover and removing the 20 mm hexagon drain nut
replace drain nut.
e) Mix approx. 40 g of tartaric acid in 1 litre of water.
f) Put this solution into clean water tank - replace cap.
g) Connect the mains plug to the socket outlet and push in the upper half of the mains ON/OFF
switch on the steam generator.
h) Allow the water to heat for 2 hours and then use the product for a few minutes.
i) Switch off the product and unplug from the socket outlet and allow 4 hours to cool down.
j) Drain the clean water tank and the boiler - replace the cap and drain nut with cover.
k) The product is ready for use. CAUTION: on the next use the operation described under N.B. of
point 4.1 MUST be carried out.
