Ventilation
When the vehicle is being driven the roof
ventilators should be fully closed.
WARNING: The roof ventilators are
designed to flow a certain amount of air
even when fully closed. Do not obstruct
them - your safety depends on them.
Insulation
All body panels, except the front doors
and engine bulkhead are insulated
using polyurethane insulation material,
giving protection against extremities
of hot and cold and at the same
time, minimising condensation.
Stainless Steel Sink and Drainer
The stainless steel sink and drainer should
only be cleaned with light detergent. Under
no circumstances should bleach be used
since this will react adversely with the
stainless steel and may cause small holes
in the metal. The chrome tap has a small
rubber end cap to eliminate water droplets
marking the work surface whilst in transit.
Habitation Battery
This is located in a bespoke locker
behind the drivers seat. The battery is
a 12V, low maintenance, leisure battery
which should only be required attention
at the annual habitation service.
End user guide for lithium batteries
Your campervan is fitted with lithium (LiFePO4)
Habitation battery rated at 60AH (equivalent to
an 85AH lead acid battery) and if maintained
correctly should give many years of life.
Lithium technology has many advantages
over lead acid wet cell batteries such as:
•
Lightweight, a 65AH battery weighs 7.2kg
•
Built in battery management system (BMS)
•
Fully sealed, no venting required,
•
Up to 2000 charging cycles.
Like any battery, lithium batteries should be
kept in a good state of charge, ideally above
12.5 volts. Lithium batteries have a very low
self-discharge rate and will hold charge for
long periods of time even in cold temperatures.
The BMS within the battery will prevent
over charging or over discharging and will
shut the battery down if a certain discharge
level is reached, however the campervan
electrical system will alert the user when
the battery voltage reaches approx. 10.5v.
If the alert is triggered, the battery must
be recharged, either by using the on board
battery charger, or running the engine.
