OPERATING REQUIREMENTS
The storage tanks must be used exclusively in accordance with the conditions set out on the rating panel.
The maximum input pressure should correspond to the nominal pressure stated on the rating panel. In
addition to the legally recognised national guidelines and standards, the connection conditions of the local
electricity and water works as well as those set out in the operating and assembly instructions must be
complied with.
The room where the device is used must be frost-free. The installation of the device must be carried out
in a place where one might reasonably expect it to be, i.e. the device must be easily accessible in case of
servicing, repairs or in case it needs to be replaced. The hot water storage tank must only be connected
to rigid/fixed plumbing. In the case of extremely hard water, we recommend the upstream installation of
a commercially available de-calcification device and a maximum operating temperature of about 60°C.
Appropriate drinking water quality is required for proper operation.
In order to prevent the ingress of foreign bodies, we recommend the upstream installation of a water filter.
Should a device, at the point of delivery, clearly display a malfunction, damage or other defect, this must
not fitted, used in the system or commissioned. Subsequent complaints regarding devices with an ob-
vious defect which have been connected and installed are expressly excluded under the warranty and
guarantee.
INSTALLATION AND SAFETY INFORMATION
a) Important installation information! Do not bend the safety component sus-
pension hooks as they may break. Failure to take notice of this warning could
result in personal injury due to a falling device!
b) Every device is delivered with a wall rail for the insertion of the upper securing
hook, which is attached to the wall with two screws and which supports the weight
of the device. Two additional screw fittings (as per the dimensions sketch with the
device dimensions) must be provided for affixing the lower tab of the device to the
wall; this only serves to secure the device against the wall and to prevent lateral
movement. The lower wall bracket has no supporting function and may therefore
not be subject to any excessive stress. Lifting and/or supporting the electrical storage heater on the
lower wall bracket is prohibited, as this strain can lead to the wall bracket tearing off! Water heaters of
a suspended construction type must not be installed horizontally.
c) The securing hooks and therefore the suspension dimension A can be repositioned by moving the stor-
age tank rear wall screws into other holes of the hook in 50 mm spacings. The fixing hook must always
be attached to the rear wall of the storage tank with at least two screws!
Warning: Only fixing hooks provided by the manufacturer may be used! If the assembly height is
changed, this is to be tightened to the mounting screws with a torque of 40 - 50 Nm.
d) During installation, due attention must be paid to device dimension sketches and any information signs
that may have been supplied together with the device.
e)
Warning: The weight of the water heater including the weight of the water content (the nominal capac-
ity) must be taken into consideration for the selection of an installation point and/or the preparation a
device mounting surface sufficient to meet the technical loading and installation strength requirements.
