Making connections to the speaker
Terminals on AVD-303

Press and hold the lever.

Insert the exposed wires on the end of the
cable.

Release the lever.
Caution
To prevent damage to the circuitry, never allow the
positive (+) and negative (-) or left (L) and right
(R) speaker wires to touch.
Notes
> The terminals on the speakers and subwoofer (+ and -) are given
different colors for ease of identification. Attach the speaker cables
to terminals of the same color RED (+) and BLACK (-).
> Connect the colored (or marked) side of the speaker cables to the plus
(+) speaker terminals.
> If you accidentally connect the wrong cable (+ or -) to a speaker
terminal or the wrong cable to either the left or right speakers, the
speakers will output unnatural sound.

Passive
> The s terminals on AVD-303 are given different colors
for ease of identification. (Refer to the figure on the right)
Connecting an active subwoofer to
AVD-303
If you want to use an active subwoofer (with built-in
amplifier) an RCA cable shall be connected between the
SUBWOOFER PREOUT and Line in on the subwoofer.
In this case no speaker wires shall be connected.
