3.
Make sure you have the right polarity when connecting your loudspeakers. As a rule, loudspeaker cables are
accordingly labelled, either by a permanent marking on one of the two conductors of the cable or by plus „+“
and minus „-“ markings on the cable ends.
4.
Now connect the cable to your amplifier or TV and make sure that you also have the right polarity here.
5.
If you are using two CLASSIC On-Wall units for the centre channel, please connect both loudspeakers to the plug
jack on the receiver that is provided for the centre channel (parallel mode) and please ensure identical polarity.
This poses no electrical problem for the receiver used.
Mounting and Positioning the CLASSIC On-Wall Loudspeakers
1.
CLASSIC On-Wall Loudspeaker as Stereo System for a Hi-Fi System
1.1. The ideal placement of your loudspeakers in your room involves positioning them in an isosceles triangle
arrangement including your listening seat, creating equal spacing between each loudspeaker and the listening
position. It is useful to position the loudspeakers in such a way, that the tweeters are more or less at ear level
from your listening position.
1.2. The CLASSIC On-Wall units are acoustically optimised for use on the wall. That is why the loudspeakers should
only be used when mounted on the wall.
To facilitate mounting, the loudspeakers come with a template
with which you can mark the fixing points on the wall. We recommend attaching the CLASSIC On-Wall back
panel securely to the wall using screw anchors.
1.3. In order to achieve the best sound results,
the entire back panel of the loudspeakers should be mounted
flush to the wall.
This is essential to ensure the best possible bass reflex tuning. This also allows for easy
feed-in of the connector cables.
1.4. The spirit level included in the „Welcome to the AUDIO PHYSIC Family“ package will assist you in the positioning
of the loudspeakers.
2.
CLASSIC On-Wall for a Television Set
2.1. The CLASSIC On-Wall units are sized to superbly match
standard 37 to 42 inch TV screen diagonals. To ensure ideal
positioning, attach your new loudspeakers on the wall on either
side of the TV set (see items 1.2 to 1.4.). The distance from the
right and left speaker to the television set should be identical.
2.2. In order to ensure an ideal coverage, the loudspeakers should
be positioned in such a way that the tweeters are always „above“
the woofers.
2.3. If the viewing distance to the television set is large, it may be
advisable to slightly increase the distance of the loudspeakers to
the television set, in order to enjoy a larger stereo panorama.
2.4. In connection with traditional CRT television sets, the distance between the TV and the loudspeakers should be
some twenty centimetres, in order to prevent any interference of the picture due to magnetic fields.
3.
CLASSIC On-Wall as Rear Speaker
3.1. You can also use the loudspeakers as high-end rear speakers in a surround system. Here too, the CLASSIC
On-Wall unit should only be mounted by firmly attaching it to the wall (see items 1.2 to 1.4.). The ideal height
of the tweeters is roughly at ear level from the listening position.
3.2.
If you prefer somewhat wider spatial imaging in surround, you can also mount the loudspeakers above an imaginary
line between the tweeters and the listener‘s ears when seated.
