ATEN Control System User Manual

VK108US

The VK108US 8-Button Keypad mounts to a wall to provide control of 
hardware through a Control Box. The setup of the VK108US to the Control 
System can be illustrated as follows:

Keypad Installation

To install the keypad, use the diagram and instructions, and do the following:

1. Assign ID numbers by adjusting the ID switches on the VK108US. The 

blue ID switch is to set the keypad’s own ID number. The black ID switch 
is to set which Control Box it will pair with. Up to 8 VK108US Keypads 
can pair with a VK series Control Box.

2. Connect the DC power on the VK108US (see 

Power Supply Information

, 

page 35) to a power outlet with the power adapter, or use PoE to power the 
unit.

3. Use an Ethernet cable to connect the VK108US to the LAN.

4. Screw the keypad to the wall opening.

5. Arrange the button caps to the desired keypad layout. Configure the layout 

in the ATEN Configurator to match the physical layout of the keypad.
