Chapter 2. Hardware Setup

Single Level Installation

In a single level installation, there are no additional switches cascaded from the
first unit. To set up a single level installation do the following:

1. Ground the CL1308 / CL1316 and make sure that power has been turned

off to all the computers you will be connecting.

2. Use KVM cable sets* (as described in the

Cables

section on page 3), to

connect any available KVM port to the keyboard, video and mouse ports
of the computer you are installing. Refer to the

KVM Cable Installation

Diagrams

on the following page.

3. Plug the power cable into an AC power source.

4. Turn on the power to the computers.
