How to use user defined variables
User defined variables can be used on different applications, one of them is selection of music streams
according to the position of an external selector (logic input configured as X positions selector – Refer to
Basic config > Logic I/O
section).
Example:
A 3 positions selector, wired on logic input 5, allows to select one of three multicast streams to play
background music on loudspeaker lines 1 and 2.
Multicast streams are following:

239.240.1.1:9001
§
239.240.1.2:9002
§
239.240.1.3:9003
First step would be to create a user variable.
§
Click on
Advanced config
>
Variables.
To create a new user variable:
§
Enter a variable name (Variable ID) and a variable description (Description).
§
Select a variable type (Boolean, integer or string).
§
Click on Create new variable.
New variable appears now in variable list.
musicstream
variable has been created on previous example.
To set variable parameters:

Click on Edit.
