Gas cooking zones
No particular measures or procedures are required prior to the
fi
rst use of a gas hob.
• For quick browning, set the burner to the maximum power
initially, and then continue cooking with minimum power.
• Gas burners are
fi
tted with thermoelectric protection devices. If
the burner
fl
ame is extinguished accidentally or unintentionally
(e.g. when some liquid boils over or when there is draught in
the room), gas supply is automatically cut off, thus preventing
the gas to be emitted into the room.
• Gas burner cover should always be placed very carefully on
the burner crown. Make sure the slots on the burner crown are
never obstructed.

• Correctly selected cookware will enable optimum cooking time
and gas consumption. The diameter of the pan is the most
important parameter.
• Flames that reach over the edge of a pan which is too small,
can damage the cookware; furthermore, gas consumption is
higher in such cases.
• For combustion, the gas also needs air. If a pan is too
large, air supply to the burner is insuf
fi
cient; as a result, the
combustion effect is lesser.
