Chapter 2: Hardware information

3.  Connect the CPU fan cable to the connector on the motherboard labeled 

CPU_FAN1/CPU_FAN2.

2.  Push down two fasteners at a time in 

a diagonal sequence to secure the 

heatsink and fan assembly in place.

•  Do not forget to connect the CPU fan connector! Hardware monitoring 

errors can occur if you fail to plug this connector.

•  If there is only one CPU fan cable, connect it to the connector labeled 

CPU_FAN1.

•  Before installing the CPU heatsink, make sure that the DIP switch is 

properly set. Refer to 

Section 2.7 Switch

 for more information.

Make sure to orient each fastener with the narrow end of the groove pointing 

outward. (The photo shows the groove shaded for emphasis.)
