f. Use a multimeter to check output voltage level from CMOS
(Q2001). The voltage level on R1702 changes when “Start GPS”
or “Close GPS”. The voltage level corresponding to GPS status,
“Start GPS” or “Close GPS”, is listed in the following table.
CMOS (Q2001) needs to be replaced if no proper voltage level is
measured on R1702.

After completing power domain and clocks checking, the second

GPS debug process is GPS firmware download. The purpose of this
process is to ensure that GPS chip (U2001) can be refreshed new
firmware. Failure in firmware download may result from CPU or GPS
chip itself. R2022 pulls high voltage level while downloading GPS
firmware.

The detail steps of GPS firmware download are listed as follows.
a. Execute GPS firmware download tool on GM2.. The usage of
GPS firmware download tool is prescribed in the appendix.
b. Use a multimeter to check voltage level on R2022 while GPS
firmware download can not complete. CPU needs to be replaced if
voltage level is pulled high on R2022 as downloading firmware.
