POSSIBLE CAUSE
1. Buildup of dust or dirt on burner
1. At cold start; flame might not be too vis-
ible
2. Burner out of fuel
3. Fuel tank not fully engaged
4. Incorrect fuel is used
5. Shutoff plate not in the full open position
6. If re-lighting while burner is hot, fumes/
vapor accumulated around burner
1. Shutoff plate is not fully closed
2. Shutoff plate not properly closed allowing
fumes/vapor to build up
1. Draft from air or fan
2. Burner running out of fuel
1. Battery power is low
2. Loose wire connections
REMEDY
1. Clean burner
1. Check for heat around burner area to
make sure flame is present
2. Refill fuel tank
3. Check connection between fuel tank and
fuel hose
4. Use specified fuel. FP1 or FP2 Denatured
Ethanol only

5. Slide shutoff plate fully open
6. Wait at least 10 minutes to allow fumes/
vapor to settle. Relight burner.

plate is fully closed

1. Remove or relocate fan away from appli-
ance
2. Refill fuel tank
1. Replace battery
2. Check and secure all wire connections
(see To Relight Appliance, page 11).
OBSERVED PROBLEM
Slight smoke or odor during operation
Burner will not light
Flame will not extinguish when turned off
Sporadic or uneven flame
No spark on igniter
