• Replace the disposable liner ‘One-
Way‘ and suction tube, if it is full,
prior to each new patient or no less
than once per week.
• Prior to passing the device on to
another patient or to other persons,
professional hygienic processing
by ASSKEA GmbH or an authorized
service partner of ASSKEA GmbH is
strictly required! For that purpose
follow the information in section 4.3.
• After each aspiration procedure all
components that have come into
contact with the aspirate must be
cleaned, disinfected or disposed of.
• Disposal of aspirate and contaminat-
ed components must be performed
in a proper manner.
Health risks or damage to the device
when handling disinfectants
If you have the opportunity to use
disinfectants, please observe the in-
formation in section 4.1. Otherwise
please follow the instructions in sec-
tions 4.2.2 through 4.2.7!
Potential bodily injury due to electric
shock
• Switch off the device prior to clean-
ing/disinfection.
• Disconnect the power supply unit
or the mains cable by unplugging
it from the mains supply. Then dis-
connect the power supply unit or
the mains cable from the socket for
power supply of the ASSKEA secre-
tion aspirator M- and S-series.
4.2.2 Cleaning the surface of the device
Clean the surfaces of the device regularly. All
devices can be wiped with a damp, lint-free
cloth.
Repeated cleaning procedures may result in
minor discolorations of the plastic housing
components. However these do not affect
the functioning of the device.
If liquids or solids come into direct
contact with the interior of the device,
the device must be inspected by AS-
SKEA GmbH or by an authorized ser-
vice partner of ASSKEA GmbH.
4.2.3 Hygienic cleaning of the reusable
secretion canister
1. Empty the reusable secretion canister and
dispose of the aspirate in a proper manner.
2. Remove the ball before performing the fol-
lowing cleaning instructions (fig. 30(C)).
3. Rinse all components of the reusable se-
cretion canister under running water and
let them dry.
4. Assemble the dry components according
to fig. 30.
It is also possible to place all components of the
reusable secretion canister into a water bath at
65 °C for 15 minutes for hygienic cleaning.
