The user is encouraged to replace the
batteries as soon as possible to avoid
interrupted use of the lock.
PIN Code Masking
•
If the user wishes to prevent someone
nearby from seeing their PIN code they
can mask it by entering additional numbers
either before or after the PIN.
•
To mask the PIN, the user must have
previously programmed a PIN code
(6-10 digits).
•
To unlock, tap the keypad to wake-up the
lock and then enter up to 16 digits using
either false leading and/or trailing numbers,
confirm by pressing the "
#
" key.
EXAMPLE:
If the PIN code is "
123456
", user could mask
by entering "
321123456
" to hide the PIN from those
nearby. Confirm the entry by pressing "
#
" to unlock.
After five consecutive failed attempts, the keypad will
become disabled (flashing red) for 1 min.
NOTE:
that within the sequence the user must enter the
correct PIN code or access will not be granted.
