REMOVE INSIDE KNOB
If received with knob engaged, depress knob
catch with release tool and pull knob off spindle
.
ADJUST FOR DOOR THICKNESS
Rotate outside rose in or out depending on door
thickness. Lock will fit any door from 1-3/8" to 1-3/4".
Locks preset at factory for 1-3/4" thick doors.
Distance from underside of
rose to center of retractor.
11/16" for 1-3/8" Doors
7/8" for 1-3/4" Doors

INSTALL LOCK UNIT*
Lock unit housing must engage latch unit prongs and
retractor must engage latch tailpiece.
NOTES
-
If guard bolt function is installed, do not attempt to
mount lock unit when door is closed. Guard bolt
tailpiece will interfere.

allow retractor to
engage

keyway is vertical and down.

INSTALL LATCH UNIT
After preparing door and jamb according to
template provided, mount latch in door.
Secure with two
(2)
screws.

Determine correct backset and door thickness

TO MORTISE FRAME FOR STRIKE

Cut out jamb
for strike

Locate strike screws
at 1/2 door thickness
measured from stop

enough to allow
latchbolt to
extend its full
free length
