not on. To activate the manual mode, from the standby mode simply press the Power Button to turn the
unit on. The fan speed setting will be at the same level as what it was when the unit was last used. To
adjust the fan speed in Manual mode simply press the Fan Speed button to cycle through the various
speed levels.
5.3. Purify Air Mode
In the Purify mode, both the germicidal ultraviolet lamps and the photocatalytic oxidation chamber are
working and the fan speed is set manually using the Fan Speed button. This mode will provide maximum
purification of the air.
5.4. Auto Mode
In the Auto mode the unit automatically adjusts the fan speed based on the air quality as detected by the
dust and odor sensors. As the presence of contaminants increase, the unit’s fan speed will increase and as
the air quality improves, the fan speed will decrease. In the Auto mode both the germicidal ultraviolet lamps
and the photocatalytic oxidation chamber are working.
5.5. Timer Mode
In the Timer mode the unit automatically shuts off after the selected number of hours. The timer can be
set in any operating mode by pressing the Timer button on the control panel. Pressing the Timer button
repeatedly increases the timer in 1 hour increments to a maximum of 12, pressing it again once 12 is
reached will turn the timer off.
6. Unit Operation
6.1.
Plug the unit into a suitable source, the unit will chime and the LED panel will illuminate fully as the
unit goes through a self-test. At the end of the self-test the unit will automatically
enter Standby
Mode.
6.2.
Pressing the power button once will turn the unit on and the unit will begin operating in Manual Mode
with the Fan speed set to High.
6.3.
The Odor sensor indicator will flash on and off indicating that it is taking air samples to determine the
presence of odors and will continue to flash until the levels of dust and odors are determined. This
may take several minutes to complete.
6.4.
After 3 minutes the unit will automatically enter Auto Mode with fan speed set to Quiet unless you
select any other operating modes or fan speeds within the 3 minute delay.
7. Remote Control
7.1. Remote Operation
This unit comes with an Infrared remote control to permit operating the unit from a distance of up to 30’/9m
away. To use the remote simply point it, with lettering right side up, at the remote control signal receiver
on the front panel of the unit. The remote must have an unobstructed view of the unit’s remote control
signal receiver to function properly.
7.2. Buttons Description
1. ON/OFF: Turns the unit on or off.
2. Fan Speed: Adjusts the fan speed.
