Removing an AC Power Supply
To remove the power supply from the 9240 gateway:
1. Remove the power cord in the AC connector on the power supply module.
2. Lift the handle on the power supply module.
3. Pull the tab on the power supply module towards the left and slide it out using the handle.
Installing and Removing an SFP28 Module
Installing an SFP28 module
To install an SFP28 module into the 9240 gateway, slide the SFP28 module, top side facing upward,
into a corresponding SFP28 port until a connection is made and an audible click is heard (see Figure
13 ).

Removing an SFP28 Module
To remove an SFP28 module:
1. Open and release the latch on the module.
2. Pull and remove the module from the port.
Connecting and Disconnecting an LC Cable
Connecting an LC Cable
To connect an LC fiber cable into an SFP28 module:
1. Remove the protective caps from the LC connector of the LC cable.
2. Insert the LC fiber optic cable into the SFP module. Ensure that the latch on the cable faces the top
of the SFP28 module (see Figure 14 ).
Use standard ESD precautions when installing or removing an SFP28.
