Approved GBICs are typically selected when the line card is purchased. Although
the modules are user-replaceable, for continued safety and reliability only
approved modules from approved vendors should be used.

Status Description
Off No Ethernet link on the port.
Green An Ethernet link has been established on the port, but no
data is currently being transmitted or received.
Flashing
Green The port is transmitting or receiving data. The flashing rate is
proportional to your network activity.
