USER DEFINED QUICK SELECTION BUTTON
You can assign a favorite rhythm style to the USER quick select style button in the following
manner.

Press the style USER button, USER 1 from Line A or USER 2 from Line B, to recall the
current stored style, the indicator will be lit.
The default user style is USER 1 = 82 Kids 1 and USER 2 = 32 Folk 2).

To assign another style to the USER button, press and hold down the User key for 5 seconds,
the USER indicator will blink to indicate store mode.

Select the desired style by using the numeric pad or the +/YES, –/ NO buttons.
♫Please note, you cannot use the quick select style buttons.

Press the USER button again to store the style. The indicator light stays on. The newly select-
ed style will be assigned to this button to be available for quick selection. Changing styles
while the USER button indicator is on will select a new style, but will not store it to the USER
button unless the indicator is blinking. The USER button indicator will turn off, the previously
stored voice will remain.

The USER button assignments will be saved when the instrument is turned off.
ADJUSTING THE TEMPO
There is a four-dot beat indicator above the TEMPO buttons that flashes with the tempo and
the beat for the accompaniment playing. Each style has its own preset tempo. The tempo can
be adjusted before or during rhythm style playback by pressing either of the –TEMPO+ but-
tons. When you change the style before you play, the tempo will be set to that default value.
If you change style during play, the tempo will keep its current value, press the –/+ TEMPO
buttons simultaneously to set the tempo to the new style’s default value.

Press one of the TEMPO buttons, the current tempo value will appear on the display.

You can use the TEMPO +, TEMPO – buttons, or the +/YES and –/NO buttons to change
the tempo value range from 40 to 240 bpm (beats per minute).

Press the TEMPO + or TEMPO – buttons or the +/YES an –/NO buttons simultaneously
to recall the default tempo setting for the selected rhythm style. After 5 seconds the tempo
screen will exit automatically.
