IL6000 Laser Warnings
Function modules with optical transmitters that install into the IL6000 chassis contain Class 1 lasers. You must
adhere to the standard safety practices for handling a Class 1 laser product, including the following warning.
Warning
Never stare directly into a fiber optic connector.
Although the light used in most fiber optic transmissions is not visible to the naked eye, potentially
harmful levels of radiation may be present at the optical output ports and unconnected transmit fiber
ends.
Failure to observe this warning could result in personal injury.
