Managing Your Network Extender

Important: If you access the Web Manager through the default IP address (192.168.100.254),
you should unplug all of your SBX-AC1200P devices except for the one you are trying to
manage. This will help to ensure that you are communicating with the correct device.
Important: If you are operating your SBX-AC1200P as a Wi-Fi Router instead of a Network
Extender, then you must use Wi-Fi to access the SBX-AC1200P Web Manager. See
Operating
Your SBX-AC1200P as a Router
(page 33) for more information.

Use the enclosed Ethernet cable to connect to the Ethernet port on the bottom of the
Network Extender. Insert the other end of the Ethernet cable into your computer's
Ethernet port.

Open a browser window on your computer and navigate to http://192.168.100.254. The
login screen appears.

Type the default user name and password. Both entries are case-sensitive.
Username: admin
Password: password

Click Login to open the SBX-AC1200P Web Manager. The SBX-AC1200P Main Screen
appears.
Note: Your default password is password, and it is case-sensitive. We strongly recommend
that you change the login password to prevent unauthorized access. See
Change the Default
User Name and Password
(page 28) for more information.
