3.4 Checking operability
The efficiency of DTS-TOP should be tested in three phases.
3.4.1 Initialization test
− disconnect the Ethernet interface cable from the RJ-45 DTS-TOP socket or
disconnect the external power adapter;
− pause for about 10 seconds to completely discharge the filtering power supply
tanks in DTS-TOP;
− apply power to DTS-TOP again, make sure that the remote control is successfully
initialized as described in 2.5.1 .
3.4.2 Checking acoustic path
The acoustic path is checked by trial communication sessions with subscribers, the work
with which is programmed, while the volume of the built-in speaker, the clarity and
intelligibility of speech are subjectively controlled both when transmitting a voice message
and when listening.
If necessary, the volume level of the built-in speaker is adjusted using the programmed
keys with the local function “Volume Control”, or using the digital communication DCN-2.
3.4.3 Function keys test
To check the functioning of the Central Committee, it is necessary to press the keys
one by one, request a search for their subscribers, or check the check of other mechanisms
for the keys with the detection of DCN-2 functions.
