1. Check the power supply wiring for installation accuracy and code compliance.
2. Power the unit.
Start the Flo-Direct

CTE Water Heater
Manual Mode
1. Turn the Manual-Off-Auto Switch on the Control Box face
panel to “Manual” (Figure 24-1).
2. Depress the Manual start button on the Control Box.
The blower assembly (Fig 24-2) will start to operate initially
followed in sequence by the spark ignitor (Fig 24-3) and
water will begin to fl ow.
The burner (Figure 24-3) will then ignite and once a fl ame
is established within the fl ame tube the spark ignitor will turn
off automatically.
Note: On initial start-up a gas train/line air purge may be
required. Purging the air line will require repeated attempts
to start the unit. To reset error codes turn the Manual-Off-
Auto switch to the Off position and then repeat steps 1
and 2.

Important Note: Ensure that the mains power supply is adequately rated to meet the Flo-Direct CTE
instantaneous water heater power requirements.
