POLICY: MAINTAINING THE ASSURE PLATINUM METER

Changing the Battery
The Assure Platinum uses two AAA alkaline batteries. They allow 5,000 tests with four tests
per day. Battery life will decrease with backlighting. A flashing battery symbol means the
battery is low. Replace batteries as soon as possible. Do not use rechargeable batteries.
Discard used batteries as per local guidelines.
Replace batteries within one minute to avoid losing the time and date setting.
NOTE:
To save battery power, the meter turns itself off 2 minutes after last use.
Equipment Needed:
• Two AAA alkaline batteries
To replace batteries:
Step 1
Turn meter off.*
Step 2
Press battery cover latch. Pull the battery cover up
on the back of the meter.
Step 3
Remove the two used batteries.
Step 4
Insert two new AAA batteries.
Step 5
Close battery cover.
Step 6
E00 may be displayed. Check time and date.
Step 7
Dispose of batteries as per guidelines.
* NOTE:
Failure to turn meter off during battery replacement will result in lost time and
date.
