From the

Malibu/Sovereign

bathtub (14 steps)

1 After bathing, open the drain and lower the

Malibu/

Sovereign

bathtub to its lowest position by pushing the

Lower the bathtub button.

2 Make sure that the safety belt is still close to the patient’s

body and armrest down. Tighten the safety belt, if needed.

Lift out the patient of the

Malibu/Sovereign

bathtub by

pushing the Lift out button. Help the patient to move his or
her legs over the edge of the

Malibu/Sovereign

bathtub.

4 Lower the chair but leave enough space for the transfer

chassis to be lifted up and slide under the transfer chair.

5 Make sure the transfer chassis are unlocked.

6 Lift the transfer chassis up and slide it into the two rails

located underneath the transfer chair.

See Fig. 2

Continue with the steps on the next page.

WARNING

To avoid falling, make sure that the patient is positioned
correctly and that the safety belt is being used, properly
fastened and tightened, and that the armrests are folded
forward.

WARNING

To avoid falling during patient transfer, always make

sure that the brakes on the equipment receiving the

patient are applied.

WARNING

To avoid entrapment of the patients or caregivers
legs or feet, make sure that they are kept clear of all
obstacles.
