5. Simple Fault Finding

Should the platform not work, check the following things:

1. Emergency stop buttons on the control panel should not be pushed in (turn the

buttons clockwise to deactivate).

2. The doors are closed and the door contacts are undamaged and clean.

3. That the power is not switched off.

4. The safety edge around the platform floor and above the control panel is not stuck

in a pressed position.

If the lift fails to work after you have completed these checks then you should arrange
for a competent person to rectify the lift.
