4.10 Reverse override switch
The vehicle has a speed limit for reverse. After pressing the reverse override switch
it is possible to drive at a higher speed in reverse.
Overriding the speed limit for reversing:
1. Let engine idle.
2. Switch four-wheel drive on (refer to section 4.4).
3. Go into reverse.
4. Press and hold reverse override switch.
5. Accelerate.
4.11 Accelerator pedal
Increasing engine speed and vehicle speed:
1. Press accelerator pedal.
Reducing engine speed and vehicle speed:
1. Release accelerator pedal.
WARNING
Only actuate the reverse override switch in idling position ( prior to acceler-
ating).
NOTE
The reverse override switch is installed in the centre console at the gear
lever.
NOTE
The vehicle is equipped with a rev limiter which delays the ignition when the
maximum engine speed has been reached. When the rev limiter is active,
this can be erroneously interpreted as misfires of the engine.
