5. Install the high/low shift fork and engage the fork

in the high/low cam slot in the gear shift shaft;

then install the shift fork shaft.

6. Install the secondary output driveshaft aligning the

front bearing alignment ring with the groove in the

gear case and rotate the bearing to locate the bear-

ing anchor pin in the slot; then align the groove in

the rear bearing with the case groove and install

the C-ring.

7. Apply a thin layer of Three Bond Sealant to the

mating surface of the right-side gear case; then

make sure that the alignment pins and washers are

positioned as shown and join the gear case halves.

Do not force the gear case halves together.

8. From the right side, install the gear case cap

screws and using a crisscross pattern, tighten until

the gear case halves are finally joined, turning the

shafts frequently to assure no binding occurs; then

tighten to specifications.

9. Install the speed sensor trigger and secure with the

circlip; then install the speed sensor housing and

secure with the cap screws. Tighten securely.
