17. Using a T-30 torx wrench, remove the three screws
securing the front drive actuator to the gear case;
then remove the actuator.

18. Remove the lower differential mounting cap
screw. Account for a lock nut and washers.

19. Remove the upper differential mounting cap
screws.

20. Free the differential assembly from the frame
mountings; then place the differential on its right
side and remove it from the frame.

Disassembling Input Shaft
NOTE: This procedure can be performed on a
rear gear case; however, some components may
vary from model to model. The technician should
use discretion and sound judgment.
1. Using a T-40 torx wrench, remove the screws
securing the pinion housing.

2. Using a rubber mallet, remove the housing.
Account for a gasket. Remove the fork, collar, and
spring. Note the location of all the components for
assembling purposes.
