Surface finish 15.
If the Vita System is plastered, the fireplace insert should be heated in advance. This is done to
prevent expansion cracks from forming.
The following measures must be taken before applying the plaster to the surface:
•
Dampen the surfaces with a sponge so that the bonding finish to be applied can take a good
hold on the stone surface.
•
The processing temperature must be > 10°C.
• To prevent expansion cracks from forming, fit a fibreglass grill to the surfaces. This is to be
applied with the bonding finish and serves as a base surface for the plaster coating which
comes later.
