Cleaning 

When the connector threads of the connectors are connected and disconnected, the threads and outer conductor 

mating interfaces can build up a layer of dirt, metal chips, and other foreign material. These contaminants can 

degrade electrical and mechanical performance. To prevent inaccurate measurements and reduced connector 

life, connector interfaces must be kept clean.
