5.6.3 Cables dimensions
For the chlorinator power supply, the cross section of the cables must be between 0,75mm² and 2,5mm², the total cross
section of the power cable must be between 6mm et 11mm.
5.6.4 Connection of the chlorinator’s control unit
The unit is equipped with 2 cable glands. The one on the left is dedicated to the cell’s power cable and the one on the right is
dedicated to the 230Vac mains supply power cable.
There are 4 female plugs of 4 different colours on the opening part.
Male plugs and female plugs of the same colour must be plugged in together.
- WHITE paddle-operated flow switch
If the plug is disconnected, the chlorinator considers that there is an absence of flow.
- YELLOW electric slaving of the chlorinator to an automatic pool cover
A 0.5m cord equipped on one side with a part of the yellow plug and on the other side with a box of connections is
provided. This is to connect a cable coming from a contact free of potential (dry contact) connected to an automatic pool
cover’s unit.
When the contact is closed, the chlorinator considers that the pool is uncovered. When the contact is open, it considers
that the pool is covered.
If the pool is not equipped with an automatic cover, deck the 2 connexion box’s terminals or use the function « covered
pool » as a set up function for the production of chlorine.
Connection to the automatic cover’s unit is to be made on terminals C and T of the « Auxiliary Relay ».
- BLACK / RED Salinity and temperature controller.
Wrong salt rate or temperature measurement can occur if theses plugs are not correctly connected.
Wiring of the cell :
Successively position terminal blocks, spring washers and then nuts. Terminal blocks can be mounted indifferently on either
one or the other terminal.
Gently block the upper nut so as to avoid creating an irreversible leakage at the connections’ level.
