9. Troubleshooting
Low or zero chlorine rate
Possible causes Corrective actions
Low stablilizer (isocyanuric acid) rate in the water.
Ask your retailer for advice (before adding some stabilizer to
maintain it between 25 and 50 ppm)
The chlorinator is not working for as long as it should
be.
Increase the daily filtering time.
The production rate is too low Increase the production of chlorine.
Recent increase in the external temperature without an
increase in the chlorine production rate.
Increase the production of chlorine.
Temporary loss of chlorine due to high organic load :
rain, leaves, fertilizer or intensive use of the pool,
animals present in the pool.
Operate the system at 100% for 24 hours. Check again.
If the chlorine rate is still too low, proceed with an intensive
chlorination using solid products.
Low salt rate (less than 3.5g/L) in the pool. Add some Aqualux electrolysis salt.
High nitrate rate. Contact a professionnal.
Presence of metal in the water. Use a Mooncal softener to prevent deposits.
Fresh water. No initial intensive chlorination. Proceed with an intensive chlorination.
The cell is clogged or dirty Remove the cell for inspection. Clean the cell using spirit
vinegar.
Blank screen.
Possible causes Corrective actions
The electric unit is not powered.
Check the power supply
Check that the ribbon cables between the electronic cards are
correctly connected.
Check the fuse
Defective electronic card Contact your approved service representative.
Flow alarm
Possible causes Corrective actions
Unsufficient water flow. The cell is clogged by debris.
The pump is not primed. Remove the obstruction and/or clean the cell.
Disconnected flow detector. Connect the flow detector.
The water flow delivered by the pump is not sufficient. Check that the pump works correctly (not primed, jammed
filter baskets).
Closed valves. Check and correct the alignment of all the valves.
Dirty filter. Follow the filter’s cleaning instructions.
Clogged cell. Remove the cell for inspection.
Refer to the cell cleaning procedure.
The flow detector is not correctly installed. Make sure that the flow detector is connected.
Defective flow detector. Contact your approved service representative.
