9 DATA MANAGEMENT
9.1 RECORDING A SMARTLOG
Recording is the way to recover your Smartlog's data and set-up in Aquamonitor. To do this, it has to be connected to the computer. Data recording
has no affect on the Smartlog set-up nor the data sent to supervisors.
There are three ways to record your Smartlog:
- Using the icon in the Aquamonitor menu (top banner)
- By right clicking in the studies window or on a study and then
- On an existing measuring point in which a Smartlog is defined and by right clicking on it, then
When you have selected "Record logger", Aquamonitor will search the connected devices, select the Smartlog you wish to record, from the list that
appears, and then click "Connect". If your Smartlog does not appear in the list, check that it is correctly connected to the computer and then click
"Refresh".
A recording wizard opens to assist you in recording the Smartlog. Click “Next” to continue. The software then records the set-up and the list of data
available in the Smartlog. Check the corresponding box then click "Next" to record. Once the recording is complete, click “Finish” to close the
wizard.
The Smartlog and its data, are then updated in your list of measuring points or are added to a new measuring point with the same name as the
Smartlog, if it does not exist in any of the measuring points in the study.
IMPORTANT
If your Smartlog is in your measuring points and data have been imported from it, a new data import will cause
them to be overwritten, even if it involves a new measuring campaign or a different configuration.
