3.4 Change of actuator size
In SW4 valves, the actuator sizes are interchangeable.
To increase or decrease the actuator size (Ø74 mm, Ø110 mm,
Ø165 mm), please refer to the table in section 4 indicating the
corresponding line pressures.
3.4.1 Change of actuator
Disassembly:
1.
Removal of the shut-off and change-over valves as described in
section 3.1.1 - 3.1.2, 3.2.1 - 3.2.2.

To change the actuator size, the guide rod (pos. 4, page 2) must
be replaced as follows:
Fasten the valve disc in a vice.
Note:
Make sure the valve disc is not damaged (use protective
jaws or soft rags). The slightest damage can lead to leakage.
3.
The guide rod (pos. 4) can be turned out of the shaft by means
of a centering washer (pos. 3) and a spanner SW17.
Assembly:
1.
Turn the guide rod into the shaft to the actuator.
Torque: 40 Nm
2.
Further assembly as described in sections 3.1.3 - 3.1.5, 3.2.3 -
3.2.5.
3.5 Proximity holder
Mounting instructions bracket for switch, see fig. 6.
1.
Indicator disc (pos. 8) is fitted on the actuator.
2.
Fit switch box (pos. 2) with O-ring (pos. 3).
3.
The screws (pos. 6) are loosened and the selected proximity
switches (pos. 9) are pressed home and the screws (pos. 6) are
fastened.
4.
Proximity switches (pos. 9) are connected.
5.
The switch box (pos. 2) is fitted on the actuator with 4 off M8
screws (pos. 7).
6.
The actuator is placed in one of the extreme positions.
7.
The screw (pos. 4) is loosened and the bracket (pos. 1) is
moved, until the required signal is achieved and then it is moved
another 2 to 3 mm to be on the safe side. The screw (pos. 4) is
tightened.
8.
The actuator is moved to the other extreme position and the
procedure is repeated in opposite order.
