4.3.2 Byte Mode timing (host reads data from printer)
In this mode, the data transfer controlled is given by the host, but tCycle must not exceed 0.5 seconds
4.4 Serial / Parallel mode selection
Serial or Parallel mode may be chosen via software automatically after the first character is received. At
power-up, both serial and parallel communications are active. If the first character is received on the
serial port, the communication will be serial, and vice versa for parallel. This first character will be
interpreted like any other incoming byte into the printer.
