CAUTION
If dirt has accumulated on or around the
fuel filler cap, wipe the cap and the area
around the cap with a clean cloth. Pre-
vent any foreign material from getting
into the 2 stroke oil tank, this could lead
to serious engine damage.

Lift the saddle, see p. 33 (UNLOCKING /
LOCKING THE SADDLE).

Remove the filler cap (2).

CAUTION
If you use any container or funnel for
filling, make sure that it is perfectly
clean.
Any foreign matter getting into the
2 stroke oil tank may lead to severe
damage.

WARNING
Do not add any additives or other sub-
stances to the 2 stroke oil.

WARNING
Do not fill the tank completely. The
2 stroke oil should never be higher than
the bottom of the rim of the filler neck.

Using a clean funnel, fill the tank to the
appropriate level with 2 stroke oil.

WARNING
After refuelling, replace the filler cap (2)
in the correct position.

Replace the filler cap (2), ensuring that it
is properly seated.

Lower and lock the saddle, see p. 33 (UN-
LOCKING / LOCKING THE SADDLE).
TRANSMISSION OIL

CAUTION
To check the oil level and to change the
oil, contact your Local
APRILIA
Dealer.
Have your Local aprilia Dealer the trans-
mission oil level checked every 2,500 mi
(4,000 km), or every 12 months.
It is necessary to have your Local aprilia
Dealer the transmission oil changed after
the first 300 mi (500 km) and thereafter ev-
ery 7,500 mi (12,000 km), or every 2 years.
