Unscrew and remove the filler cap «2».

CAUTION

WAIT FOR THE ENGINE TO COOL DOWN BEFORE CHECKING OR TOPPING-UP THE COOLANT
LEVEL.

NOTE

PARK THE MOTORCYCLE ON SAFE AND LEVEL GROUND.

CAUTION

COOLANT IS TOXIC IF INGESTED; CONTACT WITH EYES OR SKIN MAY CAUSE IRRITATION.
DO NOT INTRODUCE YOUR FINGERS OR ANY OTHER OBJECT TO CHECK IF THERE IS COOL-
ANT OR NOT.

CAUTION

Top-up with coolant until the fluid level

is near the "MAX" level mark.

•

Do not exceed this level. Otherwise,

the coolant will spill out when the en-

gine is running.

Refit the filler cap «2».

IF THERE IS AN EXCESSIVE CONSUMPTION OF COOL-
ANT OR WHEN THE EXPANSION TANK REMAINS EMPTY,
CHECK THAT THERE ARE NO LEAKS IN THE CIRCUIT.

Braking system

Check the brake fluid following the instructions on the scheduled maintenance table.

CAUTION

PURGE THE AIR IN THE SYSTEM IN CASE OF EXCESSIVE TRAVEL OF THE BRAKE LEVER,
EXCESSIVE ELASTICITY OR AIR BUBBLES IN THE CIRCUIT.
BRAKE FLUID LEAKS DAMAGE PAINTED AND PLASTIC SURFACES. BEFORE SETTING OFF
CHECK THAT HOSES ARE NOT TWISTED, CRACKED AND

THAT NO FITTING LEAKS. DO NOT

USE OR MIX DIFFERENT SILICON- OR PETROLEUM-BASED COOLANT TYPES. DO NOT USE
BRAKE FLUID TAKEN FROM OLD CONTAINERS OR FROM CONTAINERS THAT HAVE BEEN
OPEN FOR A LONG TIME. ENSURE THAT WATER OR DUST DOES NOT GET INADVERTENTLY
INTO THE CIRCUIT.
