23.13  

Assemble the main landing gear struts by pinning the 

lower shock strut into the strut body.  Place the spring into the 
upper strut and then slide it over the lower shock strut.  Align 
the pin window with the hole in the lower strut and press in the 
pin.  

23.14  

Glue on the landing gear doublers to the fuselage side 

by aligning up the holes.

 

23.15  

Position the landing gear with the holes concentric with 

the mounting points.  Press in the 5/16” diameter brass tube 
through the main strut hole and the 1/4” diameter brass tube into 
the upper strut hole.  Check for freedom of movement.  

23.16  

If using monokote, position wing in the slot in the fuse-

lage and mark position of the wing.  Remove the monokote un-
der the wing root for the best bond.  Using epoxy glue the wing 
in place. 

23.17  

Using epoxy, glue the wing pylons to the underside 

surface of the wings by using epoxy.  If you applied monokote 
you will want to remove the covering underneath the pylon for 
the best bond. 

23.18  

Apply 1/4” x 1” balsa triangle stock to the inner corner 

of the wing spar and fuselage doublers for added strength.
