During fermentation, the valves in the wet part are switched in such a way that recirculation and
heating is possible:

Bioreactor with temperature control (fermentation)

When the temperature is below set point, the heater is activated. When temperature exceeds set
point, valve V-2.07 is opened and cooling water is introduced into the jacket.

Note:

- The heater consists of 3 heating elements of 1000 VA each (in case of small bioreactors one

of these elements may not be connected; refer to the P&ID for the specific configuration).

- The heater has an adjustable thermal cut-off; adjust this cut-off to approx. 60

o

C in order to

prevent local hot spots in the reactor.
