Operation Manual
NPRT 2200
Measuring Level
MEASure:LEVel?
Measures the received power level at the presently selected range, notch and source power
level.
Measuring Carrier Level
MEASure:CARrier?
Removes the notch filter and measures the resulting carrier power level at the present source
power settings.
Measuring Noise
MEASure:NOISe?
Measures the noise level within the notch at the presently selected range, notch and source
power level.
Fetching Associated Readings
After executing an NPR measurement, you can also fetch the associated carrier level and noise
level readings used in that NPR measurement with the following commands:
FETCh:CARrier?
FETCh:NOISe?
FETCh:NPR?
FETCh:[SOURce:]POWer[:LEVel]?
If the associated value is not valid an error –230 is posted. This is usually caused by an
unrelated measurement being performed after the last instance of the desired parameter was
taken. For instance: if a MEAS:NPR? is executed, all parameters are valid, then if a
MEAS:NOISE? is executed, the carrier and NPR values are no longer valid because they are not
measured by the MEAS:NOISE function.
Changing Averaging Setup
[SENSe:]AVERage[:COUNt] <value>
[SENSe:]AVERage[:COUNt]?
Set the averaging count
Changing Settling Time
[SENSe:]SETTle <milli-seconds>
[SENSe:]SETTle?
Sets the settling time between changing the power and taking a reading. The default is 500
mSecs.
Turning Temperature Compensation On/Off
CAL:COMP:TEMP <Boolean>
Turns temperature compensation on or off.
Turning User Calibration Compensation On/Off
CAL:COMP:USER <Boolean>
