mode options are  SPP (Standard and Bidirection 
Parallel Port), EPP (Enhanced Parallel Port) and 
ECP (Extended Parallel Port).  SPP is the IBM AT 
and PS/2 compatible mode.  EPP enhances the 
parallel port throughput by directly writing/reading 
data to/from parallel port without latch.  ECP 
supports DMA and RLE (Run Length Encoded) 
compression and decompression.
