3.6.6 Overheating alarm
The signal light for overheating (25) will be illuminated if the temperature of the inlet air exceeds the value, set in
the temperature limiter of the LTM thermostat, or if the drying process is interrupted, while the temperature of the
inlet air is over 45 °C. The burner always stands still, when the signal light for overheating is illuminated.
Ensure the access of air to the heater, and in case of a vacuum heater, also the tightness of the air channel doors.
The signal light will go out and the burner restart, as soon as the temperature of the inlet air drops below 45 °C.
3.6.7 Burner failure
The signal light for burner failure (26) is illuminated in case a malfunction has occurred in the burner. Find out the
reason for the malfunction before resetting it. Refer to the manual for the heater or the burner.
3.7 Motor protection switches
The motor protection (27) switches are being used in the motor outlet for motors with direct or attenuated start to
protect the motor against overloading and the wiring against short-circuiting.
The motor protection switch is on, i.e. the motor is ready for operation, when the black button is depressed as
shown in the drawing A. The motor protection switch is off, i.e. the motor has no voltage supply, when the red but

ton is depressed as shown in the drawing B.
When the motor protection switch trips, resulting, for example, from overloading, the black button of the switch
bounces up into position B. To reactivate the motor protection switch, press down the black button. You should,
however, wait for 10–20 minutes before the restart to prevent the motor and the wiring from overheating.
After several successive start attempts, the motor protection switch may trip, although no actual overloading of the
motor has occurred. Even in this case, you should wait for 10–20 minutes before restart.
