Gauge pointer below acceptable
Check pressure with test gauge (Part No. 2737), tapping valve
operating range
gauge lightly to check for mechanical disorder (gauge pointer
loose or immovable). If test gauge pressure reading confirms
valve gauge pressure reading, perform leakage test as outlined in
‘’Valve Leakage Suspected,’’ taking the appropriate action indicat-
ed. If valve leak test is negative, test cylinder for pin hole leaks,
discard cylinder after rendering it unusable by depressurization,
removal of valve, and destruction of internal and external threads.
If leak is detectable, consult Product Services, Tyco Fire
Protection Products, Marinette, Wisconsin 54143-2542.
