6.BATTERy OR STORAGE BATTERy OPERATION
You can operate the receiver with the 2 niMH rechargeable batteries provided, or with Mignon alkaline
batteries (aa size). place the batteries or rechargeable batteries in the battery compartment (4), with their
poles pointed in the direction indicated. rechargeable batteries should be charged up for approx. 15 hours
before being used for the first time. First place the receiver in the charger. the pilot lamp (3) switches to
red, indicating charging. the charging process does not switch off automatically. to make optimum use
of the rechargeable battery capacity, use the rechargeable batteries during the day and recharge them
during the night.
CAPACITy INdICATOR
When the rechargeable battery or battery capacity is no longer sufficient for reception over a longer period,
the receiver pilot lamp (5) switches to red.

8.SWITCHING ON/OFF
use the control switches for sensitivity or volume (6) to switch the transmitter on or off. this function is
indicated by the pilot lamps (5) lighting up in green on the transmitter and receiver.
9.CHANNEL SWITCH
use the channel switch (7) to select the operating frequency.
Please note:
always set the transmitter and the receiver to the same channel. (Both units on channel 1 or 2)
10.COdE SWITCH
You will find the code switch (8) in the battery compartment. the code prevents reception from other radio
devices or baby phones. However, if other devices use the same operating frequency and code, interference
may still occur. in this case, change either the code or the channel.
Please note:
always set the transmitter and the receiver to the same code. (Both units on a - B or c)
Note:
always change these settings simultaneously on the transmitter and the receiver when interference from
other radio devices is audible or impairs reception.
11. MICROPHONE SENSITIVITy ON THE TRANSMITTER
adjust the microphone sensitivity with control switch (6) so that the transmitter reacts and transmits sound
to the receiver depending on the volume of the sound (e.g. baby crying or screaming). low sensitivity
setting:transmitter only transmits loud noises. High sensitivity setting: transmitter also transmits quieter
noises. transmission is indicated by the pilot lamp (9).
