General Purpose LEDs (LED1–8)
There are eight general-purpose LEDs on the board. Five LEDs connect to
the DPI interface, two LEDs connect to the DAI interface, and one LED
connects to
FLAG3
of the processor.
summarizes the LED connections. The respective registers of
the processor must be programmed appropriately in order to use LEDs
connected to the DAI or DPI. For more information on how to program
the registers, refer to the
ADSP-21368 SHARC Processor Hardware Refer-
ence
(includes ADSP-21375).
Power LED (LED9)
When
LED9
is lit (green), it indicates that power is being supplied to the
board properly.
Reset LED (LED10)
When
LED10
is lit (red), the master reset of all the major ICs is active.
USB Monitor LED (ZLED3)
The USB monitor LED (
ZLED3
) indicates that USB communication has
been initialized successfully, and you can connect to the processor using a
Vi+ EZ-KIT Lite session. Once the USB cable is plugged into
the board, it takes approximately 15 seconds for the USB monitor LED to
light. If the LED does not light, try cycling power on the board and/or
reinstalling the USB driver (see the
Vi+ Installation Quick Refer-
ence Card
).
L
When Vi+ is actively communicating with the EZ-KIT
Lite target board, the LED can flicker, indicating communications
handshake.
