Fasteners Replacement
Use only Grade 8 (US) or 10.9 DIN (metric) in all applications (Figure 7).
For service and replacement parts, we recommend Amigo authorized parts.
Microprocessor Controller
Do not attempt to service the MPC or charger as this will void the warranty on these items.
Opening the Pedestal Cover (ValueShopper and ValueShopper XL)
It is not necessary to remove the seat on a ValueShopper or ValueShopper XL unless the seat
needs to be replaced. The “opening pedestal” design allows access to the batteries, controller
and charger without requiring tools. With two hands, pull both release levers apart
to open the cover (Figure 8).
Removing the Rear Cover (SmartShopper)
Unplug the seat switch wires by holding the terminals closest to the
seat switch using needle nosed pliers. Loosen the bolt located on the
front right corner of the seat post. Remove the seat by pulling the seat up.
Remove the AC cord. Place your fingers under the cover just below the
holes in the rear of the cover. Pull cover out and then up (Figure 9A). Pull cover out on each side.
Lift cover off (Figure 9B).
Circuit Breaker Instructions
An automatic resetting circuit breaker protects the wiring and
battery in the event of a short circuit. It is located inside of the cover
(Figure 10). If the Amigo stops, check for overloads or short circuits
before continuing to operate.
DO NOT CONTINUE TO OPERATE THE AMIGO UNTIL
THE CIRCUIT BREAKER IS REPLACED.
Occupant Seat Switch
The occupant seat switch is located under each of the SmartShopper, ValueShopper and ValueShopper XL seats.
The occupant’s weight on the seat activates the switch allowing the Shopper to operate. (The Shopper is non-operational
without a seat occupant. Occupant must be seated firmly on seat. Sitting on edges may not activate switch.)
A SEAT SWITCH THAT IS NOT PROPERLY MAINTAINED OR IS DISCONNECTED
MAY CAUSE PERSONAL INJURY AND PROPERTY DAMAGE. DO NOT OPERATE
