EDGING DEPTH

DANGER – Never attempt to adjust the depth while the edger is running.

The ReadyEdger™ can be adjusted to edge at three different depths.  To adjust the
depth of the cut, loosen the knob on the left front of the edger and move the front
wheel up or down to the desired depth setting (see depth indicator label).  Then,
retighten the knob securely.

EDGE GUIDE

The ReadyEdger™ is equipped with a fixed edge guide that makes it easy to follow
a sidewalk or curb.

CAUTION

 – Make sure the edger blade will only contact dirt before turning on.

TURNING THE READYEDGER™ ON

Once the unit is plugged in and you are ready to start edging simply push the unit’s
safety trigger in with your thumb while pulling up on the trigger (under the handle)
with your fingers.  See Figure 7.

The thumb safety switch is only for starting the

unit and can be released during edging.

To turn off the unit, release the trigger

and the safety switch will snap out to prevent the trigger switch from being acciden-
tally depressed.

EDGING INSTRUCTIONS AND TECHNIQUES

Always keep the extension-cord away from the area being edged.  Make sure
the extension cord is behind the edger.  If you cut or damage the cord, unplug
it immediately.  AFTER the cord is unplugged, inspect it for damage and repair
or replace it if necessary.

Maintain proper balance at all times.  Keep hands away from blades. Wear eye
protection when using the unit.  Hold the trimmer firmly with both hands and
turn ON.

Do not use the edger with wet growth or in the rain.

CAUTION:

If the edger becomes jammed or stalled on a branch, sticks, or foreign

object, release the trigger immediately. Failure to stop the unit when the unit jams
may cause excessive damage to the unit’s motor.

Clearing Jams

After the blade has completely stopped, carefully remove the obstruction

CAUTION:

To prevent injury, keep hands away from trigger during clearing of jams.

To prevent injury, do not use the ReadyEdger™

with any damaged parts. If issues

continue, call the customer service at:

REMEMBER THAT THE BLADE COASTS AFTER THE UNIT IS TURNED OFF!
