Before operating the equipment, make sure all regular maintenance has been performed.  Each 
day, inspect the trailer for all of the following: 

Pre-Operation Inspection

Decal Placement - PN 111411

IMPORTANT

Four hazardous material placards are shipped with your trailer. You do not need to display 
them until you put the trailer into service for the first time. Before the trailer is placed into 
service (ie, transporting fuel), the placards need to be displayed on all four sides of the trailer. 
They should be displayed in square-on-point configuration and be located at least 3 inches 
away from any other marking that may reduce its effectiveness. 

• All safety covers for proper installation.
• Perform test procedure on breakaway brake 

unit.

• Equipment for missing, illegible, or defaced 

operating decals and safety signs.

• Structural weldments for bends, cracks, or breaks.
• Hoses, valves, and connections.

• Fuel and DEF systems for leaks.
• Presence of this owner’s manual.
• Replace/repair as necessary prior to 

operation.

• Other inspection points listed in General 

Trailer Operation Manual accompanying this 
manual.
