7. Unwind DEF hose (with blue nozzle) from DEF
reel (FIG 5.1) and insert DEF nozzle in trailer’s
DEF tank (FIG 5.3A). Do NOT yet depress
nozzle trigger or lock it in OPEN position.
8. Rotate 3-way valve handle to position shown
in FIG 5.2.
9. Verify rocker switch (FIG 4.1C) on DEF pump is
in the “on” position.
10. Activate DEF pump with DEF switch (FIG 5.1A)
on the control panel next to the flow meter.
11. Fill to desired level while observing DEF tank
sight gauge (FIG 5.3B) and release nozzle
trigger when desired level is reached. Do NOT
overfill. Leave room for expansion. See “Cold
Weather Use” on page 12 for additional
instructions.
12. Turn off DEF pump switch and retract DEF
hose and nozzle to DEF reel.
13. Replace fill cap on top of DEF tank.
14. Return 3-way valve handle to position shown
in FIG 4.1.
15. Disconnect DEF supply hose from quick
connect and allow remaining DEF solution to
drain back to bulk supply container. Coil up
and rehang DEF supply hose on rear wall of
compartment.
16. Reattach quick connect cap on 3-way
valve.
